If you read in Google Reader, you will notice that my shared items are teeming with design posts and recipes. I am an artistic person by nature and reading all of these wonderfully creative people have made me itchy to create.
The best way to begin any project or to even conceptualize what you want to do is to create an inspiration board. I have been rendered awe struck by whimsy, pinks, browns and little things that pack a big punch.

What inspires you to create?

i’ve never had the courage to make an inspiration board, even though i know it would help to focus my bursting creativity.

Any day now, I’ll have a good answer for that. Sometimes, it takes nothing more than a deadline. :-)

  3. magpie Says:

hard to say. sometimes it’s a need to use something that appears before me – and sometimes it’s because christmas is coming.

It comes in all forms. Music, writing, art, craft shows, poetry. When the mood strikes, though, it strikes hard and I fight back with as much creativity as my body will allow. It’s a wonderful fatiguing experience.

I am wound so tightly that my mind is always in 10 directions at once.

I used to make collages of pictures that evoked feelings and words.

Old things, things falling down or falling back to the earth. This – I can’t deny.

I am mostly inspired to make cupcakes. More and more cupcakes. Perhaps I should also learn how to sew so I can make bigger and bigger skirts.

    Not enough.

Currently I’m in in a functional creative phase. First there is a need to be met, and second there is my desire to meet the need without simultaneously creating an eyesore.

On days when accomplishing things isn’t nearly important, texture seems to be integral.

Lately the internet — I’m working on a cathedral window quilt project which is totally inspired by photos on flickr and tutorials found on blogs!

Nothing :( I’m not creative enough to create. I just steal other people’s ideas (from books or magazines) when I need them.

Hmmph, I was just reading a book recently where they said everyone should do this very thing (create an inspiration board). I am inspired by nature, people and food (SADLY). :)

Mostly your shared posts in Google Reader.

  19. qt Says:

I would have to say necessity. But the things I create only last long enough to go from stove, to plate, to mouth, so I am having to start over daily….
